Brother My Brother: Warren Ballentine

"Brother my brother oh how I love thee let me count the ways..."

The Savvy Brother of the Month is none other than Mr. Warren Balletine. Now if you do not know of this Chicago borned brother please let me enlighten you.

Mr. Ballentine has said that his goal in life is to be a 'servant leader', and I definitely believe he is fulfilling that goal. By replacing Dr. Michael Eric Dyson on Syndicate One (which is owned by the great Cathy Hughes) to host his own show called the Warren Ballentine Show, he is beginning to fulfill this goal.

The Warren Ballentine Show features Warren Ballentine, "The People's Attorney." The listeners he calls his "Truth Fighters" have an open and frank discussion each weekday about legal issues, politics, education, religion, sex, and anything else that's topical. During his three hours of "thought radio," Warren shoots straight from the hip and inspires his listeners to not just complain, but to take action to solve problems. The show airs daily from 10am -1pm. ET, and online at http://www.truthfighters.tv/.

Mr. Ballentine was born and raised on Chicago's South Side. His love for law took him to Ohio Northern's School of Law where he received his juris doctorate. He took every course he could that revolved around family, entertainment, and criminal law. That passion led him to become the servant leader he is today. He has worked as a Prosecutor and as a Guardian ad litem before going into private practice and has tried a multitude of cases including: Murder, Discrimination, Sexual assault, Police Brutality, Drunk Driving, Drugs, Gang violence, and all Domestic Relations to name a few.

Today, Mr. Ballentine is an attorney, and the host of the Warren Ballentine Show a nationally syndicated show heard Monday thru Friday. Warren is also the host of Court Radio on XM satellite station 169 the power Monday thru Friday. He has a show on am 1390 gospel radio Monday thru Thursday from 5pm to 6pm in (Chicago) and is also on Sunday nights in Cleveland, Detroit, Miami and Chicago giving free legal advice.

He is an accredited motivational speaker for children; and is heavily involved in community renewal. His great will to succeed is birthed from a foundation passed on to him from his mother, grandmother and aunt. These three women can be held responsible for instilling in Warren, his moral values and belief in self. His quote to live by is simply "An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere."

Warren,
My soror chose well. You speak the truth like my Southern parents did. You must always be vigilant and ready to confront. Racism is a component of every conversation.

About the Jena situation...My God is not happy that His children are behaving this way

Brother Warren Ballentine I appreciate what you're doing, but let's really keep it real. The majority of High profile Minister and entertainers don't support anything that don't promote them or their so call visions. If they can't receive some type of gain (money/status) that benefit them they are not there.

The next comment, what's not really been discuss is that white man are pissed off! Because they couldn't get a conviction on O.J. Simpson We as minority in this country was excited that someone of color was able to get off for a crime that white man have been getting awat with for centuries. So this is why we are experiencing these injustice with our youth now. They figure most youth or their parents want have the funding to defend themsrlves like O.J. did. It's like they said you laught now but we're going to laught last when we put the remainder of your black youth in jail. If we don't come together soon the blackman will be totally wipe out mentally, spiritually and physically. So we can invite all those who oppose injustice no mater what their ethnicity is, but we as a people got to come together not soon , not later but right now!

Warren,
I enjoy your show daily.Like you I am concerned with our motives for the Sept. 20th march for the Jena 6. I was under the impression we were marching in support of the young men, their families and their attorneys. I thought we were attempting to send a message to the governor, attorney general, judge and district attorney of Jena and Louisiana that we are serious about the fight for justice for all in this the United States.African American people have played, partied and slept for the past 40 years. It is time to wake up, hit the ground running and to work hard.No wonder the political candidates do not take us seriously. What is it going to take for us to set egos aside and to begin to work together? I was encouraged in the beginning now I am confused. We are doing the expected. What can I do to help?

Warren,

The people in Detroit are embarrased and disgusted with the behavior of our elected officials. Monica Conyers has done a complete 180 degree turn in her opposition to how the City Council was deceived by Mayor Kilpatrick in the "Text Message" scandal. She was the first to say that an independent investigation should be launched, but now she seems to have been either blackmailed or threatened to back off. Everyone knows something happened to her for this change to happen. Also, no one blames the
Council for not hearing the Mayor's budget proposal. He lied to them repeatedly in the past - how can they be expected to believe him now? Mayor Kilpatrick needs to recluse himself from all city business until his felony cases are resolved.

I listen to your show @ 102.5fm in the Douglasville, Ga. area most days, and have shared you w/relatives who are Enlightened. I find calling to be quite a chore, to say the least, so hoping this gets noticed. At some stage of America's History, circa 1940/1950s, the US Military reportively released certain Cancer viruses in the NY subway systems to see just how far the germs would travel; so, to think AIDS was put together in our LABS. requires 'out side of the MOLD' thoughts..How dare we think 9/11 tragedy could somehow be linked to the WH; where else is the Dollar printed besides here,or,Canada?

Warren

I heard you on 92.7 in Charlotte regarding your intent to NOT vote for Clinton if she receives the nomination. I agree with you 110%! The Democratic Party has shown little respect for he "Black vote" and if we complie with them to steal this nomination from Barrack when he has clearly played by the rules& earned the delegates then we as black voters should demand respect & have a BLACK OUT"
on Nov 4th. Write in Barrack name!!! To vote for Hillary is given the party permission to de-value us!!
Black voters should be equally valued as so-called "white-working class voters and/or Hillary's supporters.
