Did you Know???

On this day in 1904, Daytona Normal and Industrial School (Later Bethune Cookman College) opened in Daytona Beach, FL one of the south’s leading institutions for training teachers. Founder Mary McLeod Bethune will later say the college was started on “faith and a dollar and a half.”

Because I have love for all things related to Historical Black Colleges and Universities, I am not going to trip over the fact that you found it important to place something about Bethune Cookman on this site. I have nothing against the Wildcats except for when it comes to that football game that takes place in Orlando every year. But besides that, I, as a proud Rattler, don't mind showing the Wildcats love on their Founder's Day.

Thanks Theicon! Us, Wilcats, appreciate the love. And we will see all of you Rattlers on the field in November!
