I'm sorry but I would like to challenge some of your Black male readers.
I am a White female who is engaged to a Black male-good-looking, educated and loving. I just don't understand a lot of Black female's attitudes about our relationship.
My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. As he said they were either too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy, too materialistic or carrying too much excess baggage.
Before I became engaged, whenever I went out I was constantly approached by Black men, willing to wine and dine me and give me the world. If Black women are so up in arms about us being with their men, why don't they look at themselves and make some changes.
I am tired of the dirty looks I get and snide remarks when we're out in public. I would like to hear from some Black men about why we are so appealing and coveted by them.

I would like to respond to the letter written by A Disgusted White Girl.
Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men.
I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy.
The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our impatience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much hassle. So, they turned to the white girls.
Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have become intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control.
I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I just want to set the record straight. I want A Disgusted White Girl to know that not all successful black men date white women.
Brothers like Ahmad Rashad, Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan, Morris Chestnut, Will Smith, Blair Underwood, Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Rock all married strong black women And, to flip the script, there are numerous white men, in and out of the spot light, who openly or secretly desire black women over white women. Ted Danson, Robert DeNiro, and David Bowie to name a few.
I just don't want a disgusted white girl to be misinformed Stop thinking that because you are white that you are some type of goddess. Remember, when black Egyptian Queens like Hatsepshut and Nitorcris were ruling Dynasties and armies of men in Egypt, you were over in the caves of Europe eating raw meat and beating each other over the head with clubs. Read your history!
It was the black woman that taught you how to cook and season your food. It was the black woman that taught you how to raise your children. It was black women who were breast feeding and raising your babies during slavery.
It is the black woman that had to endure watching their fathers, husbands, and children beaten, killed, and thrown in jail. Black women were born with two strikes against them: being black and being a woman. And, through all this, Still They Rise!
It is because of the black women's strength, elegance, power, love and beauty that I could> never> date anyone except my black Queen. It is not just the outer beauty that captivates and draws me to them. It is not the fact that they come in all shapes, sizes, colors and shades that I love them.
Their inner beauty is what I find most appealing about black women. Their strong spirit, loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering is why I have fallen in love with black women.
I honestly believe that your anger is geared more toward jealousy and envy more so than snotty looks. If this were not so, then why do you continuously go to tanning salons to darken your skin? If you are so proud to be white, then why don't you just be happy with your pale skin? Why do you continue to inject your lips, hips, and breasts with unnatural and dangerous substances so you can look fuller and more voluptuous?
I think that your anger is really a result of you wanting to have what the black woman has.
BOTTOM LINE: If I were looking for a docile woman, someone I can walk over and control, I would give you a call. But, unfortunately, I am looking for a Virtuous Woman. Someone that can be a good wife and mother to my children.
Someone who can be my best friend and understands my struggles. I am looking for a soul mate. I am looking for a sister and; unfortunately, you do not and CANNOT fit the bill.

The letter is a fake. The response was written by a black woman... Re-read it and look at the way the things are phrased. She wrote the letter and went back and used spellcheck to change it to seem as though a man wrote it.

Yes, I think most black women are beautiful - I even sniff coconut oil on occasion, but as far as wanting to be black - I could take it or leave it. But, since I didn't have a choice, white is fine. As long as I can drink my tahiti treat and sniff coconut oil once in a while, I am fine.
As for being "easy" all the black girls talk about on my bus is sex and they are teenagers. And, many are pregnant, so there are black and white women that are easy. But, being a challenge is much different than being a headache. PEACE!!!

To be honest who cares. Ill tell you the real truth about having a white women. I am a black man i live in Palm Beach Florida and i currently attend palm beach state college. First of all, black women they are just to nasty. They talk to much, they are always ready to fight, plus most of them don't have no class. We don't truly know who wrote the response article, with that being said-let it be. What the article did state is completely true. Speaking on the teen pregnancy topic, biased white tv stations and music labels put music out there from money hungry artists that condone pre-marital sex. Ever watched the show "Teen Mom?" Most of them are white. The only reason more black girls are having babies is because they are looking for love in the wrong places. Most white families have two parents while most blacks just have a single momma. And guess where the fathers are?! In jail, or doing drugs...because of the white man's hidden agenda. Now, I am an advocate of colorful love though, I do and always will prefer a Brother. As far as following y'all: We are natural born leaders, the African race will never die and pretty soon everyone will be a beautiful shade of brown. All black women are not w/o elegance and class, all white women are not w/o virtues, good cooking, and strength. The beauty of it all is God made us to be great people in His will, one and individual and every color. EBONY AND IVORY.
To Disgusted:I'm black married to my Italian husband for 14 years. I was married the 1st time to a Swedish man who died of cardiac failure. After losing dear friends and a husband-life is too short to worry about other people's reactions. My husband & I are both very tall-he-6'3, me 5'10"-I'm an ex-runway model & my husband is a physician so we do attract a lot of attention when we're out-our daughter it 6'0 feet and a surgical tech/ who did runway for a while. I do understand the reactions BUT not all reactions may be negative and if they are dismiss them. I wouldn't have it any other way. I do understand your better half's surmise as to "some"of black women-(loud, brassy and sometimes unlady like-not saying everyone is that way but they do stand out negatively. I knew when I was in high school no black man would marry me-(too tall, too skinny were the regular jabs and complaints) so I married someone who loves me for who I am and it's been just fine. My advice is to find married couples like yourself and support each other. We have a horde of friends form medicine to Interior Design and other fields that we simply enjoy each others company. It can work. I've weeded out neighbors, so called friends and family members who would seek to destroy our family and I don't tolerate that. Everyone that knows me doesn't even challenge me on my family. These days you are a lucky person if you can find someone that respects and loves you whoever it may be. Hold your head up and keep troublesome people out of you lives!
I read this and I'm sorry but I have to comment on this, I am a white woman who is engaged to a wonderful black man, I have to agree with both of them to a certain extent, I understand the looks and even black women trying to fight me but it goes the same both ways...if a black woman is with a white man most white women would give the looks too! I have learned to ignore people who "don't approve" of my relationship because honestly they aren't in my relationship so honestly who cares. And not all black men want white women, I have learned over the years that alot of times when a black man is with a white woman it's for the thrill of just being with a white woman. And not all black men walk all over white women, you have strong black women and strong white women, not all of us white women put up with bs and neither do black women. If a white woman gets walked on it's because she let people! Everybody, no no matter what race has a right to love who they want.
Its a personal choice really. There is good and bad with both black and white women. Its the attitude that kills me. We as black women have had so many hurtles to overcome, so dont make worrying about why black men date white women one of them. If u find a good man white black or orange, love him to the best of your ability. set your standards high, but make sure u are not asking for more than what u can give yourself. Im educated, I have a six figure income,my own house,and car thats paid for, I exercise regularly and Im a fine and fabulous 43 year old black woman. I have all kinds of men after me. Particulally young men. So as far as looks go. Come on ladies. The average white woman spends how many hrs laying out in the sun and at tanning beds for what reason....they are getting lip injections to get thicker lips why...and now they r getting brazillian butt lifts to hav bigger butts becuz.... let no one fool u my black sisters we are often simulated but never duplicated superiour rated black woman. Dont ever get angry cause so silly white woman thinks she is better than you baby.
