So the first primary vote in New Hampshire was cast and Obama won with 7 votes. That may seem insignificant, but the voting in Dixville Notch is very historical. Obama received the most votes out of all candidates on both sides of the aisle. John McCain won on the Republican side. Historically the Dixville Notch vote is not an indicator of who will win the state on the Democratic side, but it has been a steady barometer of how the state feels on the Republican side.
