Via Nashville Scene:
The picture you're looking at on the right was allegedly sent from Sherri Goforth, research analystexecutive assistant for Sen. Diane Black, on May 28 via e-mail, under the headline "Historical Keepsake Photo." We've never seen President Obama in person, but we're pretty sure those pair of spooked white eyes against a black background don't quite do him justice. In fact, one could argue that forwarding an e-mail like this to 20 of your friends makes you look like an out-and-out bigot.
Goforth admitted to sending the email, but she apologized only for sending it to the wrong people. "I went on the wrong email and I inadvertently hit the wrong button," Goforth said. "I'm very sick about it, and it's one of those things I can't change or take back."
I just need these people to got over the fact the man is black already. We get it. You want to send out your watermelon and food stamp jokes. We get it. We know it's killing you inside the fact that a black family resides in the White House. We get it. We understand your disdain for everything black. We get it, but at the end of the day our President is black and there is no changing that. I know it must really you to have to refer to a "colored" as Mr. President, but dammit that's his name so get use to it.
